Sparken Hill Academy is a stand-alone, primary academy in Worksop, with approx. 575 children on roll. We are a BECTA winning school for our use of ICT and attained the Naace 3rd Millennium Learning Award for school wide embedding of Learning Technologies. We are also the Computing at Schools (CAS and NCCE) lead school for the Bassetlaw area. We have invested heavily in ICT and have our own media suite, an abundance of computers and technical devises to provide the children with a wide range of engaging and exciting opportunities.
At Sparken Hill Academy we strive to provide an enriched and creative curriculum that appeals to every child in school. We aim to develop the interests and talents of all of our children so that they become happy, confident adults.
In addition, our lunchtime provision is out of this world! We have a team of dedicated adult and KS2 play workers who work tirelessly to ensure that every child in school has an enjoyable and exciting playtime. There are a wide range of facilities available for the children on a daily basis, such as refereed team games, creative and role play, playground games, scooters to ride on, laser tag to name but a few.
If that isn’t enough, there is an enormous timetable of extra-curricular after school activities for the children to enjoy.
We hope you will agree that Sparken Hill Academy is a very special place. Take a tour of our school to see for yourself!
