Spring 2 - Arctic Adventures

Art

In Art we have been looking at Arctic artwork by Ted Harrison and have used this to inspire our own collages. Here are some examples.

In our RE this half term, we have been learning about places of worship in Christianity and Judaism. We have been learning all about Churches and Synagogues and have been looking at symbols which are important to these religions. Today, KS1 had a visit from Father Cooper from St Paul’s Church. He showed the children Christian artefacts and symbols and explained why they are important in Christianity. In class, the children have been making their own stained glass windows so we shared some of these with Father Cooper. The children really enjoyed the visit and asked lots of great questions which they were able to get answers for ☺️

The children in KS1 took part in a football event which was run by Worksop Town Football Club. The children practiced their football skills such as dribbling, ball control, shooting and passing. The children had a great time!
