Spring 2 - The World Around Me
PSHE
In PSHE the children have been learning how to keep themselves safe in a variety of situations. They have previously looked at what to do if they are lost and also hazards which are in the home. This lesson they were exploring medicines and how to keep themselves safe with them. Their task was to sort the images into the correct categories - things we put in our bodies, things we put on our bodies, things we don’t put in or on our bodies and things we need to ask an adult about.
Geography
In geography the children have been learning about their town and the UK. This lesson was focused on the UK and it’s 4 countries. The children were identifying these and then matching the correct landmarks to the countries. Here are some photos.
RE
In RE we have been learning all about Holy Week and the lead up to Easter. This lesson was focused on Palm Sunday and the story surrounding it. The children made their own Palm cross using card. Here are some photos.
Maths
In maths the children have been working with numbers within 20. They have been adding, subtracting, comparing and ordering. We have used a range of manipulatives in order to do this. This lesson we were using tens frames and counters in order to add numbers within 20.
