Welcome to Blue 1

Our topic during Autumn 1 is called the Industrial Revolution.

We will be learning about : how the Industrial Revolution started, the impact of the railways and the build of canals, the different jobs that men, women and children did and the conditions in which they worked, we will learn about the impact it had in child labor and the people who helped them and fought for changes in the laws. we will also look at some inventors and the impact of their inventions.

In Autumn 2 the topic will be called a Victorian Christmas.  

We will be learning about the differences between poor and rich Victorians, the housing and social classes. We will also learn about how was life in a Victorian school and compare it to schools nowadays.

Our PE lessons are every Monday and Friday, please arrive at school in your PE kit on these days.

Our homework books will be sent home on a Friday and could they please be returned to school by Thursday of the following week. 

Spellings of the week will be given out on a Monday using the look, cover write check worksheet and the assessment will take place on a Friday. Please practice those at home!
