Summer 1 - Creepy Crawlies

RE

This half term the children have been looking at “forgiveness” in their RE lessons. This lesson the children were looking at the story of Joseph. They read the story and then used drama to act it out in small groups. They then chose different characters to hot seat and ask questions. Here are some photos of our learning.

English

This week we have been completing work about the traditional tale “Goldilocks”. This lesson we found a crime scene and investigated what might have happened here. We looked at all the evidence we could see and used amazing adjectives to describe them. Here are some pictures of what we have found.

Science

This half term we are looking at minibeasts and their micro habitats. This lesson we were looking at what a micro habitat is and different types. We then searched around the school grounds to find different ones. Here are some photos of our learning.

Coronation Celebrations

We had a full day learning all about the coronation of King Charles III. We made crowns, created some colouring pictures and created collages. Here are some of our photos.

Maths

In maths this half term we have been learning all about mass and capacity. This lesson we were using scales to measure the weight of different classroom items with cubes. Here are some photos of our learning.

RE

In RE we have been looking at both Christian and Jewish stories. We learnt that both the Torah and the old testament of the bible include the same stories as they affected both groups of people. Here are pictures of our class creating our own Torah scrolls.
