Computing
At our school we want pupils to be MASTERS of technology and not slaves to it. Technology is everywhere and will play a pivotal part in students' lives,. Therefore, we want to model and educate our pupils on how to use technology positively, responsibly and safely.
The curriculum will see our pupils covering 3 broad areas
1: Information Technology 2: Computer Science 3: Digital Literacy
We encourage our children to enjoy and value the curriculum we deliver. We will constantly ask the WHY behind their learning and not just the HOW. We want learners to discuss, reflect and appreciate the impact computing has on their learning, development and well being.
Finding the right balance with technology is key to an effective education and a healthy life-style. We feel the way we implement computing helps children realise the need for the right balance and one they can continue to build on in their next stage of education and beyond.
Below you can find more information about our curriculum as well as some examples of the work produced across school.
Check out the fantastic examples of projects produced by our pupils. More examples can be found stored on each pupil's google drive (KS2) and classroom google drives (KS1).

Progression - How will our pupils develop their computing skills as they move through school.
Skill specific progression documents are under development. These show how pupils develop specific computing skills between Early Years and Year 6. We will continue to add to these over the coming months.
