History
In History we will begin by looking at the chronology and find out when the Ancient Egyptians lived and to learn about some key achievements in the civilisation. Pupils will learn what the key vocabulary, such as civilisation, society, empire, hierarchy means. Use secondary sources to state what they believe they are and are used for. Begin to explore the beliefs, ideas and attitudes of men, women and children in the Ancient Egyptian times.
Pupils will use evidence to ask and answer questions about:
-Clothing, Food, Homes, Religion/Beliefs, Leisure, Trade and Families
As the term progresses they will gain knowledge and understanding of mummification/afterlife, Social Hierarchy of Ancient Egyptians and find out why the Ancient Civilisation lasted so long.
