Gymnastics Clubs 2022-2023

Key Stage 1

This takes place in our School gym every Tuesday 3.15- 4.15 with Sharon Callaghan whois lead coach at Head over Heels gymnastics club and also a coach at Worksop Gymnastics Club.

Due to mats and equipment there are limited places for both clubs,however if you are interested please fill in the google form sent out every half term and different children are chosen each time.
The idea is that this gives your child a taster of a gymnastics club set up and if they enjoy it then you take them to a club where they can progress even more.

Key stage 1 Gymnastics Festival

On Wednesday 9th October 2019 we were invited to take 15 pupils from year 2 to Retford Gymnastics Club to take part in a mini festival. The children were shown how to use lots of different apparatus and had the opportunity to have a go. Retford provided Gymnastics coaches to help them and guide them.

Every one had an amazing morning and loved the whole experience.

Dukeries Gymnastics Competition

On Sunday 3rd December Dukeries Gymnastics Club held a competition at our school. This enabled 11 of our pupils the opportunity to take part. They learnt their routines during their gym club sessions with Naomi and performed them on the day.

Having links with 2 gymnastics clubs is a tremendous opportunity for all our pupils and they have developed and improved their skills and techniques so much over the last year. Well done everyone, onwards and upwards.

Bassetlaw school's invitational competition

All of our pupils that attend our gym club were given the opportunity to attend the Bassetlaw Schools invitational gymnastic competition on Saturday 5 th May.

Five of our Girls decided that they would like go to this. They learnt a routine with Sharon and then they had to perform it on the day. Congratulations to all of them and especially to Sahara and Chelsey who both came 2 nd place in their age and ability category.
