Continuing with, "Toys in Space" written by Mini Grey.
DO NOT play more of the story just yet.
Ask the children to make predictions on what will happen to the toys based on the spaceship being in the sky and the front cover! Explain that an alien takes the toys. Task 1- listening completion Children will follow the verbal instructions of what the alien looks like. Play the next section of the book video up to 3.04 minutes. Does their drawing look like the alien in the book? Task 2 Children will be given their own template. They will colour it in as they please and describe it using full sentences and plenty of adjectives. |

PSHE
In our PSHE lessons we have been thinking about different jobs that people may do and how these jobs may require different skills and qualities. For example a teacher needs to be organised and kind. A police officer will need good communication skills and be compassionate.
This week we have asked the children to think about their own strengths and interests.
What do you like to do? For example, spending time with your family.
What are your hobbies and interests? For example, dancing or reading books.
What do you think are your strengths? For example, being creative, counting or working with others.
