During the second & third half terms we will be venturing through a portal to the past where our learning will centre around many aspects of WWII and involve a visit to Kelham Island Museum dressed as evacuees to take part in several workshops which will explore evacuation, the fire pump drill, being inside an Anderson Shelter, cracking Morse code messages and lots more.

Art

During our WW2 topic this half term we have been using watercolours to create backgrounds depicted from the blitz. Since the Christmas holidays, we have been studying the work of Clarice Cliff and are in the process of designing and painting our own plates and cups. 

English

During this term we have been looking at different writing styles including informal letters, time-slip narratives and setting description. Below are a few examples of our amazing descriptive writing of London during WW2. 

Maths

During this half term we have been learning about multiplication, division and fractions in our maths lessons.
