Daily Activities
- Log on to MyOn and read for 15mins, you can also read a book from home if you prefer. Don't forget to complete an AR Quiz when you finish your book.
- Go to TT Rockstars and practice your times tables for 15min. Why don't you challenge a friend in a competition?
- Head over to EdShed to do your spellings for the week. There are also this weeks activities to download if you wish.
English
To support English this week there will be daily zoom meetings. These will be used to support and guide pupils in accessing the pre-recorded videos and resources.
This week we will be focussing on non-chronological reports. By the end of the week we have started gathering information and facts for writing your own report about ‘Space Exploration.’
Today's Lesson
Today will be a zoom meeting to read out their introductions written yesterday. Children will be given more time to research for their non-chronological report. They have the opportunity to choose their own sub-heading to research for their non-chronological report.
Maths
There will be live Maths lesson at 1.30pm on Zoom. You will be sent an email link so that you can log on to the lesson each day. Look out for this in your inbox.
The final lesson focus will be Quick Maths. The live lesson will give examples of the questions before pupils have the opportunity to go away and answer questions in their own time.

PE
We know active, healthy children achieve more, that is why PE and School Sport is such a focus at Sparken Hill Academy. To support home learning we have subscribed to Real PE at home.
Each pupil in school will have access to this fantastic resource. Who will be the most active year group during lockdown? Please see the attachment for the joining instructions. It also includes a link to a video explaining how to use the platform.
We recommend you access this daily (30 minutes) and give yourself an active break from the screen. You should also try and complete another 30 minutes of physical activity. This could be a walk, run, bike ride and playing a game with a member of your family.
