22/02/24 - We started this term with a new topic for English: poems. The children were put into groups and asked to read different poems to each other. Next, they had to annotate their poem answering whether their poem rhymed, if it repeated any specific words, what the poem was about and why they think the writer chose to write the poem about that topic. The children had some really interesting comments and ideas about their poems during class discussion!

20/11/23 - After our trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, we spent the week looking at the conventions of letter writing in preparation for writing a thank you letter to YWP.
