Welcome to our class pages at Sparken Hill Academy. We're so pleased to have your child with us this year — our classrooms are place where every child is known, cared for, and encouraged to do their very best. In the pages you'll find key information about learning, routines, and how we work together to support your child’s progress, wellbeing and curiosity. Alongside the class pages we’ll keep you updated through the school’s newsletters and class dojo.

We follow the national curriculum with a focus on developing strong reading, writing and maths skills alongside creative topic work, science investigations and physical development. Each half term we explore an exciting themes that link learning across subjects, with practical activities, trips and opportunities to share work with the class.

Please encourage reading for pleasure, ask about what they learned that day, and practise times tables and spellings little and often. Positive routines (sleep, breakfast, tidy workspace) make learning at school much easier.
