Safeguarding

We take our responsibilities to safeguard your children very seriously - please find above a copy of our Safeguarding Policy 2025-26 which each member of staff adheres to.

We work within Government Legislation Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025 (Sept 2025 update) in conjunction with Working Together to Safeguard Children and Working Together to Improve School Attendance (statutory guidance).

These documents highlight current significant national issues including preventing Radicalisation in line with the 'Prevent' Strategy (part of the government's counter-terrorism strategy to stop people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism).

With the internet available to every child in today's modern society, we maintain increased awareness of contextual safeguarding issues including Online safety (including misinformation, disinformation and conspiracy theories), Grooming, Child on Child Abuse, Child Criminal Exploitation and Child Sexual Exploitation. We work alongside external agencies including Health, Social Care, Family Services, Women's Aid, Police and Children's Centres to ensure all our children are kept safe and protected from harm.

If you have any concerns about a child and would like to speak to a member of senior staff please call Mr Lilley or Mrs Phoenix on 01909 534060.

Alternatively, if you would just like an informal chat please give Karen Gardiner from the Community Team a call on 01909 534079.
