Worried about a child?

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of any child, please tell us. You do not need proof and you will never be wasting our time. We would always rather hear a concern than miss one.

How we keep children safe

Every member of staff follows our Safeguarding Policy. We work within the government's statutory guidance: Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children and Working Together to Improve School Attendance.

We stay alert to issues that affect children today, including online safety (including misinformation, disinformation and conspiracy theories), grooming, child-on-child abuse, child criminal exploitation, child sexual exploitation and radicalisation, which we address through the Prevent duty.

We work alongside Health, Children's Social Care, Family Services, Women's Aid, the Police and Children's Centres so that every child is kept safe and protected from harm.

Our safeguarding induction video

Everyone who works or volunteers at Sparken Hill watches this video. It explains how we keep children safe and what to do if you are worried.
