This term children have been learning different dances. This lesson they were focusing on more of a lyrical dance, focusing on holding their movements more.

In English we have been looking at the story of “The girl that went to the Arctic”. This lesson we used drama when working in groups to retell parts of the story.
In Science this half term the children have been identifying and classifying different animals. We have identified different animals that live in the Arctic and spoken about their structure. This lesson we thought about the different ways we could sort the animals, such as animals which fly and animals which don’t, animals that are mammals and animals that aren’t and animals which have fur and animals which don’t.
This term we have been learning all about the Arctic. We have looked at where the Arctic circle is and what countries are apart of it. This lesson we looked at where the Arctic is on a globe and a map. We thought about what the Arctic looks like, what animals live there and what climate it has.
This term we have been working on our balance and shape in our PE lessons. Here are some examples of Star, Tuck and Straddle shapes.
