Summer Term 1
We hope that you are having a lovely time and are staying safe at home. We know that this is a very difficult time for you and that you’re probably missing your friends and teachers, but it won’t be too long until we are all back together again. Remember to be kind, look after each other and stay at home with your family. It’s important to listen to your parents and try to do some school work every day. We’re very proud of you and remember we will soon be back together again to hear your exciting news.
This week, we will be starting our new topic called ‘Marvellous Minibeasts’. There will be lots of new activities on this page ever week. Remember to keep using other websites as well such as active learn, times table rockstars, oxford reading tree and education city as there are lots of books, fun games and interesting information on them. Your usernames and passwords are in your home school diaries but please get your parents to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can’t log on.
To start our minibeast topic, it would be great if you could go outside into your garden or go on a short walk with your parents to see how many bugs you can find. Try to name and make a record of what you can see. You could also investigate where most bugs like to live and think about the food that they might like to eat. It would be fantastic if you could draw, paint a picture, make a minibeast model or bake butterfly buns at home.
Please send us photos of what you’ve been up to so that we can share your news in the newsletter and website for your friends and teachers to see.
Remember: stay safe, be kind and be strong. We’re missing you lots and look forward to seeing you when we’re all back at school together again.
Love from all of the KS1 teachers
