This Friday (19th) March is Comic Relief (Red Nose Day!). The charity is close to our hearts and we would like to do what we can to support it this year.

However, due to the ongoing risk from Covid19, we will have to do things a little differently.

Firstly, we are asking pupils to come in non-school uniform – wearing RED if possible. (Because it’s a charity event, EVEN Manchester United tops are allowed!!  )

However, we are asking that pupils do NOT bring a red nose in due to the inherent risk of transmission. Try as we might, we cannot legislate for children wanting to try on each other’s noses!!

We are asking for a commitment from parents on £1 per child. These coins will be collected in a bucket on the day and left for 72 hours before we count. With over 550 pupils in the school, we SHOULD be able to send a healthy cheque to this valuable charity if everyone gives. We’d encourage those of you who can to also donate on the evening.

Finally, we’re sending home a “Share a Smile” sheet on which you write your favourite joke and pin in your window! We’ll collect some of the best jokes on the day to make a video compilation of jokes which you’ll be able to view on our website!
