League match versus St Joseph’s 

 

On Thursday we played our first league match of the season against St Joseph’s school. It was a well contested game with oth sides getting stuck in from kick off. Unfortunately for us  a lapse in concentration resulted in a goal for st Joseph’s. However after a Kristian rallied them round they started to play better and work as a team. This resulted in an equaliser just before half time. 

In the second half we played well and created lots of chances, Lucas Came on as a sub and within minutes he had knocked the ball in after a goal mouth scramble and we were in the lead. 

All we had to now was hold on for the last 5 minutes, we had a few scary moments but managed it. Final score , we won 2-1. 

League match versus StAugustines

 

Another great match tonight, we started slowly and panicked a bit on the ball but after about 10 minutes we started to settle and play. 

Theo opened the scoring with a well taken shot in the near corner and then we were awarded a penalty after a handball in the area. Charlie thumped that into the netto make it 2-0.

Augustines then had a lot of possession and scored a great goal leaving Harry no chance in goal. At half time it was 2-1 to us.

In the second half we played from the back creating triangles and passing and with the ball. It was one of these moves from Riley, Charlie and Johnny that created a goal for Shaun.

Now we were playing some lovely football and St Augustine’s were pegged back into their own half. Shaun was one on one with the keeper and blasted the ball in for his 2nd goal. Then another quick break and some great footwork from Charlie saw him score his 2nd. Shaun then completed the Scoring with a great hat-trick he won the balljudt past the half way line, beat 4 players and blasted the ball past the oncoming goal keeper. A superb team effort and a fantastic first start for Dylan Cookson too. Well done boys 6 wins out of 6 and top of the league.
